I planned to take you with me on this journey. Since I arrived here, I miss you even more. Every morning, the first thing that catches my eye is the empty space you left in my world. On the bus, the music that used to be in my ear when you were still there is gone. The pictures of the good times I had don't exist anymore, my memory of them is starting to fade. You took a piece of me with you to the grave. The world is not the same without you and I'm wondering if someday everything will go back to normal. Rest in peace my one and only. My dear, beloved laptop. ;D

The destination of the journey I was talking about earlier is Munich. I arrived here on sunday. I'm interning at a german fashion magazine for two weeks. Lucky as I am, the Octoberfest takes place here right now and my aunt (at whose place I'm staying) already gave me an old Dirndl of hers which fits perfectly. I can't wait to go to the Octoberfest on the weekend, since it will be my first time. It must be fun, as almost everyone here in Munich wears the traditional clothing around town and you can see so many tourists who are really enthusiastic about the whole beer-thing. I'll post some pictures of me wearing my Dirndl as soon as I find a camera (I forgot mine at home and miss it almost as much as I miss my laptop).

At Nina's apartment, watching skins in french and having the best selfmade pizza ever. Walking to Châtelet metro station, wearing her lovely Repetto ballet flats, seeing Paris in that wonderful rosé light.

A week ago I was planning a rather small kind of 'I'm back to Germany' - Party. Somehow we ended up being around 70 people... All the cleaning-up the next day (I remember edding on my couch, walls.. Simply everywhere) was totally worth the night. I had a great time.

Die Schule hat wieder angefangen, aber irgendwie fühlt es sich an, als sei das nur ein Traum. Ich bin müde und ein bisschen erschöpft.

Es hat den ganzen Tag in Strömen geregnet. Ab und zu hat es geblitzt. Ich kam völlig durchnässt aus der Schule nach Hause. Später, während eines weiteren Regengusses, riss der Himmel plötzlich auf und die Sonne hat geschienen. Als ich dann im Garten war, wurde ich von den Regentropfen, die von den Blättern der Blumen abperlten, geblendet. Ich habe die Wärme der Sonne auf meiner Haut gefühlt. Als ich kurz darauf auf meinem Bett saß und mein Blick durchs Zimmer schweifte, blieb er an dem Wecker auf meinem Klavier hängen. Es war genau sechs Uhr. Das Ziffernblatt wurde von den Zeigern in zwei genau gleichgroße Hälften geteilt und ich habe mich gefreut, zufälliger Weise genau in diesem Augenblick hingeschaut zu haben.

Das war einer dieser Amelie-Poulain-Tage. Ihr wisst schon, was ich meine:

School starts again tomorrow. I still don't understand how time could pass that fast. It feels like it was yesterday that I met the girls in Paris and actually I still sometimes wake up in the morning and think that I'm just at home for holidays. But I'm not. Which makes me so happy on the one hand and so sad on the other. My parents bought me that book by Ernest Hemingway called 'Paris, A Moveable Feast'. Seems like they've noticed that I'm doing nothing else but daydreaming lately. And that book, oh. Even its smell reminds me of that unbelievably good time I had.

Hier die ersten Bilder meiner kleinen 'Europatour'. Mitte Mai ging es mit meiner lieben Freya nach Dijon - ein wunderschönes kleines Städtchen im Osten Frankreichs, von dem die Meisten von Euch sicherlich in Verbindung mit Senf schonmal gehört haben. Ich habe mich sofort in die kleinen, verwinkelten Gassen, die wunderschönen, typisch französischen Häuserfassaden und den romantischen Garten der Freunde, bei denen wir wohnen dürften, verliebt. Es war der perfekte Kurzurlaub und eine gute Gelegenheit, sich dem pariser Großstadttrubel zu entziehen.

Gerade bin ich über ein Bild von mir auf meinem Lieblings-Streetstyle-Blog gestolpert. Wie unfassbar glücklich ich in dem Moment der Aufnahme gewesen bin, ich kann es kaum in Worte fassen. Meine erste Fashion Week hätte nicht schöner sein können. Paris ist so eine wundervolle Stadt! Leider ist mein Auslandsjahr in 3 Wochen schon vorbei. Ich hoffe sehr, spätestens für die nächste Fashion Week im Herbst wieder herkommen zu können!
